Jewelry in Narratives
Jewelry in narratives project curates and presents stories from India in which jewelry plays an important role as text, videos and jewelry. The jewelry draws from the techniques, visuality and materiality of the craft of Tholu Bommalata (shadow leather puppetry) that is practiced in Andhra Pradesh, India.
This is a not-for-profit project that functions on the ‘Create with me‘ framework of design.
“If a picture of jewelry can paint a story with color, form, and texture, imagine what picture jewelry could do for a story?”
